Susan Gierasik is a Scottish artist based in Edinburgh. Over the years she has worked using narrative in a figurative and abstract way, exploring the complexities when the two overlap. This improvised approach has enabled her to create a network of expressive marks, revealing aspects of identity, different memories, emotions and the therapeutic use of colour. She enjoys working on several pieces at once, creating a story within the layers (info from Artists' blog).
NHS Fife recognises the importance that art plays in creating an environment conducive to good health and well being. Our collection of artwork is intended to be enjoyed by patients, their visitors and staff alike.
