Douglas Gray was born in 1947 in Kinghorn, Fife where he was raised. He trained in painting at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, before going on to complete an MA at the Royal College of Art, London. He has recently returned to his native Fife where he draws inspiration from the local landscape. Gray has exhibited nationally and internationally, and works as a technician at Edinburgh Printmakers. His imagery is infused with a keen awareness of social mores and pretensions.
NHS Fife recognises the importance that art plays in creating an environment conducive to good health and well being. Our collection of artwork is intended to be enjoyed by patients, their visitors and staff alike.
