Born in 1965 in Oldham, England, Mel Allen studied photography at Blackpool and Fylde College before moving to London to become a photographer's assistant job. Landscape photography is his main focus and his iconic image, 'Ullswater', showcases the lake district in all its tranquil beauty.
NHS Fife recognises the importance that art plays in creating an environment conducive to good health and well being. Our collection of artwork is intended to be enjoyed by patients, their visitors and staff alike.
