Cacti bud detail

This photograph beautifully captures a cacti bud, which is being protected by its spiky outer parts. By producing such a close-up image the artist has drawn our attention to the wonderful variety of colours and tones within the plant, from bright green to lavender purple. Suzanne Black is a professional photographer with a studio in the North Fife countryside. She splits her time between the Alps and Scotland, where she predominately photographs weddings.
