ART COLLECTION
Irene Thomson is a Fife-based artist. She studied music at Northern College of Education in Aberdeen, and then went on to become a music teacher. Thompson enjoys going outside and painting directly from nature and is inspired by flowers and musical themes. While still teaching music part time and being a piano teacher she always finds time in the day to create art, her favourite medium being watercolour. Boats at Kinghorn emphasises her love for going out into the world and simply painting what she sees.
NHS Fife recognises the importance that art plays in creating an environment conducive to good health and well being. Our collection of artwork is intended to be enjoyed by patients, their visitors and staff alike.
