Joy Bain was born in Falkirk in 1966 and studied printed textiles/printmaking at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee. Working from her studio in Glasgow, she creates vibrant, sometimes quirky, works full of energy, excitement, and cheerfulness. Her natural progression led her to specialise in screenprinting, where her style is easily recognisable as bold, colourful animal prints. As well as creating her own unique works, Joy Bain often teaches printmaking and leads the woodcut courses at Glasgow Print Studio.

NHS Fife recognises the importance that art plays in creating an environment conducive to good health and well being. Our collection of artwork is intended to be enjoyed by patients, their visitors and staff alike.
