The University of Edinburgh Art Collection includes a number of paintings and drawings by Dorothy M Peach including a woodland landscape drawn as part of a travelling scholarship. Dorothy Peach gained her Diploma from Edinburgh College of Art in 1944 and was a Post Graduate in 1946. This painting shows two dancers in costume and probably dates from the 1940s. The painting may have been influenced by Picasso who depicted a number of circus performers during his Rose period c.1904-06.
NHS Fife recognises the importance that art plays in creating an environment conducive to good health and well being. Our collection of artwork is intended to be enjoyed by patients, their visitors and staff alike.
